A1 Asphalt Shreveport is a family-run paving contractor based in Caddo Parish, working driveways and parking lots across Shreveport, Bossier City, Haughton, and the surrounding Ark-La-Tex. We started this company because too many homeowners and property managers were getting paving that looked good for one summer and was raveling by year three. The fix isn't fancier asphalt — it's the base prep underneath it and a sealcoat schedule that respects Louisiana sun.
Every job we run starts with grading and compaction. Red-clay subgrade shifts as it swells in our wet seasons and shrinks in the dry ones, and 50 inches of rainfall a year finds every poorly drained edge. We fix drainage, compact aggregate to LADOTD spec, and only then pave with hot mix from local plants. The crew that grades the base is the same crew that lays the surface and runs the roller, so nothing gets handed off and lost in translation.

What Our Clients Say
Our driveway off Line Avenue had been graying and raveling for years — sun had cooked the binder out of it. They patched the base where water was pooling near the garage, laid a fresh surface, and sealcoated it the right way. Two summers in and it still looks new.
We needed the church lot off Airline Drive sealcoated and restriped before Easter weekend. They worked around our service schedule, finished Saturday night, and the lot was ready Sunday morning. Lines are sharp, ADA spaces measured right, no complaints from the deacons.
